Some of you may be saying “Namaste to you Priya” right at this moment. If so, thanks! Some of you may be saying “What’s that strange word Namaste??”
Namaste is a beautiful and ancient greeting. It can be used in your relationship as a simple tool to diffuse a tense situation or to open up a loving relational space in which you may like to take some slow and special time together, away from all the fast bustle of everyday happenings.
However you use a Namaste, it creates some very delightful and special qualities in your relationship. Sadly, these qualities can get lost in our hurried lives all too easily when we barely get time to say hello to our beloved partner, let alone look at them…..and by this I mean really make eye contact for at least the length of two slow breaths. I know….I’m always talking about breathing and for good reasons!
It’s no wonder couples come to my practice saying things like “we hardly talk to each other unless it’s to give orders or to argue over something pretty silly. And we’re both so frustrated and fed up. And worse still, neither of us can remember when we last had sex!!”
This may be you and your partner these days, or something like it. Or, perhaps you haven’t got to this place (yet) and are doing fairly well and would love to enhance what you have got and make it even more loving and connecting.
*And, probably loads more which you can tell me about right here in the comments section below
Just in case you missed my introductory video to the ancient art of Tantra, (especially as there has been quite a gap till now) you may want to remind yourselves where the lovely Namaste hails from. You can view it here
So, there we have it for July. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and your unique relationship.
